   No-one believes in Art Therapy anymore. The field is completely discredited. The only schools still offering this 1960s fad are third rate institutions run by geriatric hippies.

   Don’t waste your time and money.

   Some really good schools have art therapy (i go to a good school that is not run by old hippies and i am not one either lol) and there are alot of places I have seen that have art therapy programs for patients (hospitals, rehabs, retirement homes, phychatric hospitals, some schools, etc.). Although it doesnt have much backing it does help a lot of people overcome their issues. In my opinon, art therapy is like a lot of other therapies but you use drawing/dance/music/drama to express yourself instead of words or it can help you translate your feelings into words.

   You can go to the American Art Therapy Association website for a list of accreditied colleges and universities that offer the program. You can also get some information about art therapy from the website. You can go to payscale.com to see on average how much they make a year in the area you live. Im not sure how accurate payscale is but i know in alot of areas its not alot but it is a really interesting and fun career.
